Morton Feldman Chamber Players: Patterns in a Chromatic Field
Morton Feldman Chamber Players: Patterns in a Chromatic Field
Based out of the Experimental Sound Studio of Chicago, Morton Feldman Chamber Players (MFCP) are a chamber collective devoted to the enduring relevance of Morton Feldman and his music. MFCP founding cellist and founding pianist, Mira Luxion and Andy Costello, perform Morton Feldman’s 1.5 hour+ work, PATTERNS IN A CHROMATIC FIELD.

A native of Chicago, Mira has received the Nerenberg Award from the Musicians Club of Women, Farwell Award, and distinctions from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, the Presser Foundation, and the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras. Dedicated to the music of living composers, pianist Andy Costello has worked personally with over 40 composers in the past two seasons alone. “Andy trouve la profondeur dans chaque note” (“Andy finds depth in every note”), composer Philippe Leroux has stated of Andy’s playing. Together, Mira and Andy offer a rarely performed masterwork of the 20th century.
