"Mesmerizing" soprano CHARLOTTE MUNDY performs Three Voices, the most lush and seductive piece in the catalog of legendary American composer Morton Feldman. The 50 minute-long work for three female voices (commonly performed by one live singer and two pre-recorded voices) consists of crystalline, shifting harmonies, closely layered polyrhythmic sections and fluttering melismas. The mostly wordless music is occasionally adorned with fragments of Frank O'Hara's poem, Wind. Toronto-born, New York-based Mundy has performed in forests and abandoned warehouses; while playing a hot tub/balnophone hybrid instrument and another time while wearing an 8-channel speaker-suit. She is a member of TAK, a quintet dedicated to performing visceral, adventurous music by young composers, and The Knells, a post rock, neo-psychedelic chamber prog band.

"The final performance of the evening was given over to a mesmerizing rendition of Morton Feldman’s “Three Voices” for voice and tape by the preternaturally focused Canadian soprano Charlotte Mundy, with meticulously balanced electronics by Elliot Cole...Here, in front of a magically cough-free audience, the quiet, swirling textures of Feldman’s hypnotic work were able to unfold in all their subtle, unhurried grandeur." - The New York Times (Sept. 2013)
