- Tyler Mills (reading)
- Hannah Gamble (reading)
- Slurp's Up (the band)

Subterfuge would go out at night and run into people, and we'd just invite them to come with us. We started out with a relatively small group of musicians and support people, and we ended up with a caravan. Abe Smith was the lead guitarist and arranger in David Bowie’s former backing band, the Spiders from Mars. When Zachary Schomburg and Joshua Marie Wilkinson went to see John Beer perform at The Other End, they also met Hannah Gamble, the actress/singer who had recently starred in Robert Altman’s celebrated film Nashville. At the end of the show by Gamble’s band Everything’s Alright, Tyler Mills joined Schomburg on-stage for a few songs.

Sometime in May, Subterfuge also contacted an old friend and filmmaker, Kyle Vegter. Vegter reportedly began filming scenes in Greenwich Village for a documentary.

Jeffrey Allen flew in from California and met with Louis Bardales at rehearsals, where Bardales asked him if he had seen Francois Truffaut’s Shoot the Piano Player. The poet Allen Ginsberg also joined Subterfuge in early 2014, but his planned recitations were cut before the opening date to keep the shows at a manageable length.
